Visa

To follow a course or program of study in Canada lasting less than 6 months, you may be required to obtain a visa from your country of origin. Check the "Citizenship and Immigration Canada" website for a list of countries and territories whose citizens require visas in order to enter Canada as visitors.

Insurance Policies

By selecting "Canada" on your on-line registration form, you are either

  • a Canadian citizen; or
  • a Permanent Resident of Canada

and you have a health insurance coverage (for Canada or Quebec) valid for the duration of your stay in Quebec (24h/jour).

For all others (namely Quebec visitors) who do not have a health insurance policy valid for the Province of Quebec, we are strongly recommending to subscribe to a medical insurance before leaving your country. Medical expenses (for medical consulting and/or hospital care), can be very expensive for a traveler who does not have a health insurance valid for the duration of his/her stay in the Province of Quebec. It is important to consult your current insurance plan to find out if such coverage is protecting you. Otherwise, please subscribe to a health insurance policy BEFORE departure for your peace of mind.

Canadian Students or Permanent Residents

It can cost you up to $ 100 CAN or more if you require medical attention in Montreal. Canadian students, not residents of the Province of Quebec, should check with their home province or territory as to their medical coverage in other provinces. It is also most important to verify with your home province the procedures for proper reimbursement for all potential medical emergencies that may occur during your stay in Montreal.

Methods of payment

Here are all available methods of payment:

  • Credit card via your "Portfolio" (Visa or MasterCard)
  • Interac (debit card)
  • Money / postal order or certified check / cheque
  • Bank transfer
