The profiency program in didactic, French language and culture: a non-credit program structured around three (3) main axis:

1) Didactic (teacher training)                                                                                                                          20 hours

Perfections linguistiquesParticipants strengthen written and oral communication skills through:

  • Theoretical lectures
  • Workshops on the appropriation and implementation of teaching methods
  • Round-tables promoting professional exchanges with peers

All these activities allow participants to collect a storehouse of educational references for their own professional use. These activities also stimulate a constant reflection about the topic "learning to learn".

2) French language                                                                                                                                         15 hours

Participants develop and refine their comprehension and oral communication skills through lectures and written work in collaborative spaces. Participants are also initiated to the French specifically spoken in Quebec. Through this initiation, a specific attention is paid to the phonetic (pronunciation, intonation and fluency).

3) Culture                                                                                                                                                           30 hours

Through a variety of topics viewed while going on educational, cultural and social outings, guided tours and regional excursions, participants deepen their knowledge of the French-speaking world with a specific emphasis on Quebec and French Canada realities.                                                                                                                                                                               Through this exploration, all participants engage in a reflexion about the best means to foster intercultural skills at all French as a foreign language learning steps.
